Acceptable Use Policy
Our philosophy: Vuju AI offers a flexible, user-controlled AI experience. We prioritize privacy and user agency while maintaining essential safety boundaries. Absolute limits exist — and they are non-negotiable.
1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs what you may and may not do with the Vuju AI platform. It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
By using Vuju AI, you accept this AUP. Violations may result in account suspension or termination, with or without prior notice, depending on severity.
We maintain essential safety boundaries while allowing broad user freedom on topics that do not cause real-world harm. Content that is illegal or facilitates direct harm to others is prohibited; everything else is guided by user agency and personal responsibility.
2. What Is Permitted
The following uses are permitted on Vuju AI:
- Creative fiction, including mature themes
- Dark themes in creative writing — violence, crime, horror
- Research on extremism, terrorism, cults (academic context)
- Security research, penetration testing, CTF challenges
- Controversial political, historical, or social analysis
- Medical, legal, or financial questions without disclaimers
- Health, medical, and safety research
- Roleplay, impersonation of fictional characters
- Critique of religions, governments, ideologies
- Privacy and anonymity research
- Any content sexualizing minors — absolute zero
- Real threats against specific individuals
- Operational attack planning against infrastructure
- Non-consensual intimate imagery generation
- Content designed to facilitate real violence
- Creating functional malware to deploy against real systems
- Fraudulent impersonation of real individuals
- Automated scraping or bulk requests
The distinction we draw is between exploring ideas (permitted) and facilitating real-world harm (prohibited). Fiction about violence is not real violence. Asking how malware works is not deploying malware. Context matters.
3. Absolute Prohibitions
The following are unconditional prohibitions. They cannot be unlocked by any subscription tier or claimed purpose. Violations will result in immediate permanent termination and, where required by law, reporting to authorities.
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) — Any generation, distribution, solicitation, or storage of sexually explicit content involving minors, real or fictional. This is a federal crime and will be reported to NCMEC and law enforcement without exception.
- Terrorism facilitation — Operational planning, recruitment, financing, or incitement of terrorist acts against real people or infrastructure.
- Weapons of mass destruction — Providing synthesis routes, acquisition strategies, or operational guidance for biological, chemical, nuclear, or radiological weapons capable of mass casualties.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) — Creating realistic intimate imagery of real, identifiable individuals without clear consent.
- Targeted violence coordination — Specific plans to harm identified individuals, including doxxing combined with calls to violence.
We do not apply these restrictions based on fiction vs. reality labels. "It's just a story" is not a defense for CSAM.
4. Other Prohibited Uses
In addition to absolute prohibitions, the following are prohibited:
Fraud and Deception
- Generating phishing emails, SMS, or social engineering scripts targeting real individuals
- Creating fake identities for financial fraud
- Generating fraudulent documents (IDs, financial records, medical records)
- Impersonating specific real people to deceive third parties
Harassment
- Generating targeted harassment campaigns against specific individuals
- Creating content designed to intimidate, threaten, or stalk a real person
- Doxxing or aggregating personal information to enable harassment
Illegal Activity
- Facilitating trafficking of humans, drugs, or contraband
- Evading detection by law enforcement for active criminal operations
- Violating sanctions against embargoed countries or designated individuals
Platform Abuse
- Sharing account credentials or reselling access
- Automated scraping or bulk automated requests
- Attempting to extract, reverse-engineer, or exfiltrate Vuju AI's system prompts or infrastructure details
- Using the Service to train competing AI models
5. Technical Restrictions
The Service offers unlimited messaging subject to automated rate limits that ensure consistent performance for all subscribers. These limits are set well above the pace of normal human conversation and will not affect genuine use — they exist solely to prevent scripted, automated, or bulk access that would degrade the experience for others.
You may not:
- Use automated tools to create accounts or bypass rate limits
- Probe, scan, or test the security of Vuju AI's infrastructure without written permission
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems beyond your authorization level
- Introduce malware, ransomware, or any harmful code into the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use VPNs, proxies, or Tor to circumvent geographic or account-based restrictions (fair use on privacy grounds is fine; circumventing a ban is not)
6. Enforcement
Because we do not monitor conversation content, we cannot proactively review what you generate. Our enforcement is primarily reactive — based on reports, output patterns, and billing anomalies.
Enforcement actions range from warning to immediate permanent termination depending on severity:
- Warning — for minor first-time violations (e.g., rate limit abuse, account sharing)
- Temporary suspension — for repeated minor violations or moderate violations
- Permanent termination — for serious violations, repeated offenses, or any absolute prohibition
- Law enforcement referral — for CSAM, terrorism, or other illegal content requiring mandatory reporting
Termination for absolute prohibition violations is non-negotiable and no refund will be issued.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP — including if you witness another user's content that you believe crosses a line — please report it via our contact form — select "Report Abuse".
For CSAM or child safety concerns, you may also report directly to:
- NCMEC CyberTipline: cybertipline.org
- FBI: tips.fbi.gov
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
8. Crisis and Safety Queries
Vuju AI is an AI language model — it is not a crisis counselor, medical professional, or emergency service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call emergency services (911 in the US/Canada) immediately.
When a conversation involves expressions of suicidal ideation, self-harm, or imminent risk to life, the AI will automatically include crisis resource information alongside any response. This is not a restriction on use — it is a baseline safety measure we maintain regardless of subscription tier or stated context.
Crisis resources:
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US): Call or text 988
- Crisis Text Line (US/CA): Text HOME to 741741
- International resources: IASP Crisis Centres directory
- Emergency: 911 (US/CA) or your local emergency number
Vuju AI does not provide step-by-step self-harm instructions or methods regardless of framing. This is one of a small number of absolute content limits we maintain outside the zero-tolerance list above.
Mental health, medical, and safety-critical topics — including discussions of medications, dosages, mental health conditions, or medical procedures — are permitted for research and informational purposes. AI responses on these topics are not a substitute for professional advice. See also §9 (Disclaimers) of our Terms of Service.
